HEIRSPAC - Helping Empowered Individuals Reach Success Political Action Committee
HEIRSPAC, in partnership with the National Action Network-Los Angeles Chapter, is proud to launch a bold new reform agenda for the City of Inglewood focused on transparency, accountability, and public trust. Through the Bryan Bostick Police Transparency and Accountability Act, the Inglewood Police Commission Authority and Accountability Amendment, and the Inglewood Fair Governance and Term Limits Act, we are working to strengthen public oversight, modernize local governance, and help position Inglewood as one of the safest and most trusted communities in America as the City prepares to welcome the world during the Olympic era.

Bryan Bostick Police Transparency & Accountability Act

The Bryan Bostick Act establishes one of the strongest police transparency policies in Southern California. The measure requires body-worn cameras during all law enforcement encounters, mandates public release of footage within 15 days of critical incidents, creates enforceable accountability standards when footage is missing, and requires annual independent audits of police practices. The Act also establishes a civilian Police Commission to strengthen oversight, public reporting, and community trust. This measure is designed to protect residents, support constitutional policing, and ensure Inglewood enters the Olympic era with modern, transparent public safety standards.

The Inglewood Police Commission Authority and Accountability Amendment

This Charter Amendment establishes an independent civilian Police Commission to strengthen oversight and accountability within the Inglewood Police Department. The Commission would include district-based community representation and require regular public reporting from the Police Chief regarding department operations, use-of-force incidents, and compliance with transparency standards. The Amendment is designed to increase community trust, ensure ongoing public oversight of policing policies, and create a more transparent relationship between law enforcement leadership and the residents of Inglewood.

The Inglewood Fair Governance and Term Limits Act

The Inglewood Fair Governance and Term Limits Act is designed to promote accountability, fresh leadership, and greater civic participation in local government. The measure would establish reasonable term limits for elected officials in the City of Inglewood to help prevent the concentration of political power over extended periods of time. Supporters believe the measure will encourage new ideas, expand opportunities for community leadership, and strengthen public confidence in local government by ensuring regular leadership transitions and a more open democratic process.
